Fennemore has an excellent opportunity in our Phoenix, Arizona office for a full-time ADMINISTRATIVE FINANCIAL ANALYST to join our finance department. This role combines vital financial analysis with high-level administrative support for the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by the Senior Financial Analyst;
- Support the CFO with various analytical and ad hoc administrative requests such as travel and expense reimbursement;
- Manage annual year-end director (partner) compensation analytics and process;
- Take a lead role in budgeting director and other attorney compensation, accounting and finance team department costs, certain overhead costs such as rents and property taxes, partner with HR to budget staff and related costs, and calculate revenue and monthly hours spread;
- Manage corporate insurance renewals and annual applications;
- Manage annual industry statistical surveys and keep history;
- Manage monthly director and other attorney gross pay calculations, update forecast;
- Respond to attorney employment and compensation verifications;
- Generate month-end system reports in support of the month-end close and reporting;
- Manage director stock payouts; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field;
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably in a large firm setting. Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting is strongly preferred;
- Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative support experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external vendors;
- Ability to interact professionally with senior executives and firm attorneys;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Orientation towards initiative and ongoing process improvement; and
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
