Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Direct Recruit Agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time, 12-month contract basis. As an Operating Room RN, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to plan and implement patient care during surgical procedures

- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and assist with anesthesia as directed by the anesthesiologist

- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order

- Assist with positioning and draping of patients for surgery

- Monitor and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room

- Communicate with patients and their families before and after surgery to provide education and support

- Document patient care and maintain accurate records

- Assist with post-operative care and recovery, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing wound care

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure safe and effective patient care

- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications:

- Valid SC Nursing License Prior OR e3perience required

- Current RN license in the state of practice

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room RN

- BLS and ACLS certifications

- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to work varying shifts and on-call as needed
