Service Cashier Job at Bettenhausen Automotive in Tinley Park

Bettenhausen Automotive is looking for a Service Cashier to join our busy service center!

Job Responsibilities

• Receipting monies collected for service repair orders, parts counter tickets, and vehicle sales
• Assist with scheduling service appointments for customers.
• Verify service and parts invoices are closed properly with the correct pay codes.
• Guaranteeing checks through the UTA guarantee system following policy guidelines
• Balancing the cash drawer and finalizing the deposit.
• Provide backup coverage for main reception desk
• Organize and file service and accounting files as needed; purge files when necessary.
• Light lifting

Part Time Position:

• Monday - Friday afternoon/evening shift
• Hours: 3pm -7pm
• Must be available to close (between 7 and 8pm) and rotating Saturdays
• Anticipated Weekly Hours: 20-25 hours

Job Requirements:

• Must have a positive attitude
• Must provide exceptional customer service
• Previous cashier experience preferred
• Previous Automotive experience preferred
• Accounting knowledge is a plus - this position can provide great experience for accounting majors!
• Proficient computer skills
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• High School Diploma or equivalent
