School Social Worker Job at Soliant in Wilkes-Barre

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team near Ashley,Pennsylvania, working with students requiring emotional and learning support. This full-time role focuses on providing critical support services for students facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, enhancing their ability to thrive in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students with emotional and learning support needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans.
• Participate in Student Support Teams (SST) and assist with 504s and IEPs as needed.
• municate effectively with families, offering resources and guidance to support students' well-being.
• Serve as a liaison between the school, family, and munity resources.

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania School Social Worker Licensure is required.
• Experience working with students requiring emotional and learning support preferred.
• Strong munication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of current practices in social work and mental health as it relates to educational settings.
