Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at an alternative high school and juvenile detention center (JDC) in Caldwell, Idaho. This position will involve providing social-emotional support and assisting students in their transitions back into the school environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in helping at-risk youth navigate personal, emotional, and academic challenges while ensuring their well-being and facilitating their success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students in the alternative high school and juvenile detention center settings.
• Support students during transitions, including returning to school or community settings after detention.
• Address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges impacting students academic performance and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized support plans.
• Serve as a liaison between families, schools, and community organizations to ensure appropriate resources and support are provided.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all services provided.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field.
• Active Social Work license in the state of Idaho.
• Experience working with at-risk youth, particularly in alternative education and/or juvenile detention settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff.
• Knowledge of local resources and experience collaborating with community services.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
