Caseload: Split between two elementary buildings (30 general education students, 15 special education students)

Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time School Social Worker for the 2024-2025 school year in Woodhaven, MI. This position involves supporting at-risk students with social and emotional needs in two elementary buildings. The School Social Worker will be responsible for writing behavior plans, consulting with teachers, and providing direct support to help students succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide social and emotional support to at-risk students in a school setting.
• Develop and implement behavior plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students in the classroom.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to promote success.
• Split time between two elementary buildings, working with both general education and special education students.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan School Social Worker certification (required).
• Experience working with elementary students in an educational setting (preferred).
• Strong skills in developing behavior plans and consulting with educators.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and staff.
