Position Summary & Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Incumbent will be responsible for carpet and floor care; bathroom, drinking fountain and breakroom kitchen care; and general cleaning.
Monitors, fills and requests product/supplies to ensure customers have adequate supplies to meet their needs.
Will provide quality customer service and minor repairs on equipment and fixtures. Also assists with clearing sidewalks of snow, ice and debris as well as moving furniture and setup and rearranging chairs and tables for special events.
Qualifications
* Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of minor plumbing.
Knowledge of chemicals used in cleaning a variety of surfaces to include different kinds of tiles, flooring and carpet.
Reading to follow label guidelines when using cleaning chemicals for safe usage and mixing of them.
Will be required to use a ladder, electrical equipment, and some harsh chemicals or cleaners in the performance of some duties.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Good organizational work habits.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and representatives of other departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer six (6) months of custodial experience and experience using floor scrubbers and buffers, and carpet shampooers.
Required: Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance as a Condition of Employment.
