The Market Segment Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive sustained revenue and profit growth in assigned global markets. This role oversees competitive positioning, pricing policy, market share growth, and product roadmaps while managing relationships with multi-national customers. The Market Segment Manager collaborates cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure the successful launch and promotion of legacy and new products within targeted market segments. This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Product Management.
ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES:
Market Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to grow sales revenue and profitability in assigned global markets.
- Analyze global market trends, competitive activities, and pricing structures to refine market positioning.
- Identify opportunities for legacy and new power connectors, supporting product development and driving successful market entry.
- Manage and coordinate new product programs to meet evolving market requirements.
Product Roadmaps & Development
- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps for assigned markets, identifying future product needs based on industry trends.
- Manage product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with market demands and business strategy.
- Champion the new product development process, collaborating with sales and engineering to meet business objectives.
Customer Engagement & Market Leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with global customers, sales associates, and independent sales representatives.
- Research and recommend product launch strategies, including pricing, promotions, and training initiatives.
- Act as the primary resource for technical and commercial inquiries, assisting customers throughout the sales process.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute product positioning and launch strategies.
- Work closely with sales, sales support, and operations teams to meet profit and sales targets.
- Partner with sales teams to identify accounts, decision-makers, and action plans to exceed business objectives.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-year technical degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in product management or engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in product management or business strategy development in a B2B environment.
- Proven experience developing and implementing growth strategies in B2B markets.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP, CRM, and CMS software preferred.
- Moderate mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.

- Prior experience in B2B environments with a focus on growth strategy development.
- Proven ability to develop and execute product roadmaps.
- Experience in connector sales or technical applications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead cross-functional project teams.
- Commitment to driving results and a sense of urgency in meeting business objectives.
