Summary:

A Paralegal collaborates with attorneys to perform various legal/compliance-related tasks including

document drafting, research, and support during legal proceedings. This position plays an essential

role in assisting attorneys with legal/compliance matters by leveraging knowledge and skills in

legal/compliance-related issues.

MOBIS North America electrified Powertrain LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are vital parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

General Legal/Compliance Administration Duties

  • Read and analyze incoming memos, letters, and reports to determine their significance and distribute appropriately.
  • Create and maintain legal/compliance document and related internal process.
  • Organize and coordinate all legal/compliance matters including discovery process (document production, interrogatory responses, and affidavits etc.).
  • Generate and distribute litigation hold orders.
  • Coordinate, verify, and process invoice payments.
  • Enter and maintain in-house/outside counsel information in automated system.
  • Generate and edit contract-based documents and maintain contract management system.
  • Aid in drafting legal documents and contracts, as well as organizing/managing/retaining documents.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as but not limited to; filing, photocopying, preparing meeting agendas, taking and distributing meeting minutes, managing schedules, coordinating travel arrangements, scheduling appointments with internal and external parties, sorting and distributing correspondence and maintaining database records.
  • Prepare affidavits or other documents, such as legal correspondence, and organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing system.
  • Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements.
  • Prepare for trial by performing tasks such as organizing exhibits.
  • Meet with clients and other professionals to discuss details of case.
  • Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Certification as a paralegal preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in a related field

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven knowledge of the Legal/Compliance field
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally and to explain legal issues to all levels of management
  • Detail-oriented and customer focused
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and principles.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Willing to collaborate, share knowledge, respond quickly to urgent matters, and execute proactively
  • Ability to understand and embrace the company's core values, corporate goals, mission, and priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
