Summary

Responsible for developing, planning, guiding, and controlling plant activities associated with the managing of inventory flow through all operations.

The Material Management team will be responsible for ensuring that materials are available when needed, at the right cost and quality. Material management will play a key role in coordinating with other departments and teams, managing resources, and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the material management process.

ABOUT MOBIS NORTH AMERICA ELECTRIFIED POWERTRAIN, LLC

MOBIS North America electrified Powertrain LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of BSA and PE systems, which are vital parts to produce electric vehicles, based on state-of-art manufacturing technology related to battery system assembly.

Essential Functions (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Responsible for overseeing FIFO material management.
  • Oversees all dock activity, to include live load and unloading, and dropped shipments.
  • Assist with the management of returnable dunnage.
  • Assist in ensuring all inventory hold locations are properly allocated, and visually identified.
  • Oversees plant below minimum alert process.
  • Other duties as assigned by Material Manager
  • Responsible for shop floor continuous improvement

Basic Qualifications (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
  • 2+ years of experience in Just in time management field in Automotive industry
  • Experienced in automotive logistics field

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to perform process improvements, learn new techniques and update procedures.
  • Familiar with part sequencing, kiting, bar coding and importance of safe material handling principles.
  • Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Above average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP or PAB process is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, word, power point and excel.

Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
