Job Function
Reporting into the Director of Operations, the Production Manager will be based out of our Industrial Rd, TX site and will be responsible for the plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational plans, strategies, and goals to optimize production processes and achieve targets.
- Analyze production capacity, resources, and demand to ensure optimal utilization and efficient workflow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining quality standards.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise employees, ensuring they are properly trained, engaged, and aligned with company objectives.
- Establish clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback, coaching, and support to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Foster a positive work culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate production metrics, including output, cycle time, scrap rates, and downtime, implementing measures to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and implement quality control processes to minimize defects and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and equipment necessary for production.
- Optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and manage inventory accuracy through efficient tracking systems and regular audits.
- Implement strategies to streamline supply chain processes and reduce lead times.
- Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and safety training sessions to minimize workplace hazards and prevent accidents.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards, ensuring the facility's compliance with legal and environmental requirements.
- Associate degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control methodologies, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, production planning, and inventory management.
- Outstanding communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
