DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in the solar subcontracting sector of the construction industry, located in San Diego, California, 92108, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, profitability analysis, and cost management. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all accounting operations, such as billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.• Develop strategies for financial planning and cost analysis to optimize company profitability.• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.• Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.• Prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts in collaboration with the executive team and departmental managers.• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements for the management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established financial guidelines and regulations.• Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process, administer and review all financial plans and budgets.• Produce cash flow reports, anticipating and reporting on trends and potential financial risks.• Utilize skills in 'Sage Intacct', 'WIP - Work In Progress', 'Prevailing Wage', 'Project Accounting' to perform tasks effectively.Requirements• Demonstrated proficiency in Sage Intacct is required.• Experience with WIP - Work In Progress is necessary.• Knowledge of Prevailing Wage is essential.• Familiarity with Project Accounting is a must.• Proven leadership and management skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to develop and maintain financial reports.• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Job typePerm
