Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Interim HR Manager Consultant to elevate our Human Resources function while our HR lead is unavailable. This role is perfect for a professional with over 15 years of experience who can introduce innovative ideas, drive initiatives, and cultivate a culture of accountability and growth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing day-to-day HR operations, executing strategic projects, and ensuring the ongoing success of our HR team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • HR Leadership: Direct the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring the effective execution of core functions, including recruiting, payroll, and employee relations.
  • KPI Management & Accountability: Establish and monitor HR-related key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and efficiency. Mentor managers in effective leadership and management practices to foster accountability.
  • Culture Transformation: Initiate a culture shift within the organization, starting with HR, to promote inclusivity, innovation, and accountability.
  • Change Management: Implement change management initiatives, effectively communicating with all organizational levels to ensure smooth transitions and employee engagement.
  • Career Coaching & Reviews: Offer coaching and feedback, conducting quarterly and annual performance reviews to support the professional development of staff and managers.
  • Executive Training & Coaching: Collaborate with the executive team to provide leadership coaching and ensure alignment on HR initiatives.
  • Project Leadership: Lead HR projects, including initiatives to improve efficiency, and report accomplishments to leadership teams.
  • Policy Development: Develop and enhance HR policies in partnership with external consultants to ensure compliance with the latest employment laws, particularly in key states such as CA, NY, IL, FL, and VA.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Support sensitive DEI initiatives, fostering an inclusive environment without imposing requirements, particularly in the media industry.
  • Recruiting & Onboarding: Oversee recruiting efforts for key positions, ensuring a seamless and effective onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Technology Oversight: Manage HR software platforms like TriNet or Rippling to ensure efficient HRIT functionality.
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of HR experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in KPI management, change management, and the successful implementation of HR strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a Type A personality-able to balance assertiveness with approachability.
  • Experience coaching executives, managers, and employees to foster a high-performing, accountable team.
  • Robust project management skills with achievements in efficiency improvements, culture transformation, and policy development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and compliance, especially in CA, NY, IL, FL, VA, and international markets.
  • Familiarity with TriNet or Rippling HR software is preferred.
  • Sensitivity and expertise in managing DEI initiatives, promoting organic diversity in the workplace.
Preferred Experience:
  • Proven success in implementing change management strategies and facilitating culture shifts within an organization.
  • Experience in the media or creative industries, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges.
  • Results-oriented leader with a history of coaching and influencing at all organizational levels.
Work Environment:
  • Hybrid work setup with occasional in-office presence required for executive interviews.
  • Standard hours: 9 AM to 6 PM, with flexibility as needed for critical projects or meeting
Pay Details: $135.00 to $145.00 per year
