Position Overview
The Controller will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance, and supporting the organization’s growth initiatives. This individual will work closely with the CFO and PE sponsor.
The Controller will help lead the accounting team and contribute to the company’s strategic goals, particularly in integrating new acquisitions and enhancing operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Compliance and Accounting Operations:
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Manage and improve accounting processes, including AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- M&A Integration:
- Lead financial due diligence and integration of newly acquired entities.
- Streamline processes and systems across multiple sites for consistency and efficiency.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to support company growth.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration.
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Support the CFO in financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, and budgeting.
- Drive initiatives to improve operational performance and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a blend of public accounting and industry roles.
- Demonstrated experience in a multi-site organization.
- Expertise in M&A, including due diligence and integration.
- Experience working with NetSuite ERP or similar systems is highly preferred.

- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment with competing priorities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
