Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Chicago, Illinois Metro Area
Work Schedule: 4 Days On-Site, 1 Day Remote
Compensation: $265,000 - $285,000 base salary plus performance-based bonus and equity opportunities

Position Overview

Our client, a growing PE-backed manufacturing company based in the Chicago Metro Area, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy of the organization. The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, from budgeting and forecasting to capital allocation and financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, board of directors, and private equity stakeholders to drive financial performance and ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives. This role requires a commitment to being on-site 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Oversee all financial operations, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and private equity expectations.
  • Drive the company's capital structure decisions, including financing strategies, debt management, and equity transactions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with private equity stakeholders, the board of directors, and the executive team to optimize financial performance.
  • Lead M&A initiatives, including due diligence, integration planning, and financial structuring.
  • Oversee internal controls, compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to GAAP and other financial regulations.
  • Manage financial audits and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for all stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in the manufacturing industry, preferably within a PE-backed company.
  • Strong track record in financial strategy, capital allocation, and financial performance management.
  • Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing large-scale financial operations.
  • Experience with M&A transactions, including due diligence and post-merger integration.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing financial management, industry regulations, and compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
