About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of People and Culture to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that align with the organization's mission and values, with a strong focus on talent management, diversity, and inclusion. This role requires a leader who can ensure compliance with employment laws, design and manage effective talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies, and lead initiatives to promote a culture that respects and values differences. The VP will also be tasked with providing guidance on HR issues, overseeing employee development, and managing programs related to career and performance. Applicants for the Vice President of People and Culture position at the company must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior leadership role within a non-profit organization, with a proven track record in employee relations, career development, HR compliance, and HR strategy. The role demands a professional with a strong background in recruiting, strategic planning, and succession planning, as well as exceptional skills in fostering an inclusive and engaging work culture. A Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field is required, with an advanced degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have a professional HR certification and be well-versed in state and federal employment laws and regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including board members, employees, volunteers, donors, and community members.
