Join our growing team at Cottonwood Distribution, Holiday Trucking, and Granger Services. We're seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to manage key HR functions across our distribution and trucking operations. This role is vital to maintaining compliance, fostering employee engagement, and supporting our company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Administration & Compliance: Manage employee records, payroll deductions, benefits enrollment, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Onboarding & Training: Lead new hire onboarding, orientation, and ensure required training is completed.
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR issues, handle investigations, and resolve concerns.
- Policy & Handbook Management: Assist with policy updates, ensuring compliance with labor laws.
- Workplace Safety & Benefits: Support safety initiatives and manage workers' compensation claims; oversee benefits administration.
- HR Metrics & Reporting: Track key HR metrics (turnover, retention, satisfaction) and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Culture & Engagement: Collaborate with leadership to promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture and employee engagement.
Skills & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in HR or related field (required).
- Certifications: SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years in an HR generalist role with focus on compliance, employee relations, and training.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR compliance (FMLA, ADA, ACA), and knowledge of Utah and Nevada employment laws.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR systems (Paycom, Asana, Excel, etc.).
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Utah Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
