Safety is more important to us than unfettered growth.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Product Manager to enhance and optimize the capabilities of ChatGPT. The ideal candidate is a 0-1 visionary who is passionate about introducing AI to the world through new product offerings and one that has experience building software for US Federal Government customers. This role requires close collaboration with our research, engineering, sales, policy, and design teams. This position will be based Washington, D.C. We utilize a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.In this role, you will:Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge research by crafting the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution to advance AIConvert user feedback into detailed product requirements, narratives, and technical specifications.Use data to better understand user needs and guide future product development.Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including teams in research, product design, and engineering.You might thrive in this role if you:Have 6+ years of product management or related industry experience.Built/sold products to the US Federal Government with a strong track record of executionHave previous experience working the the US Federal GovernmentObtained a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.Have proven experience working in a technical environment with cross-functional teams to drive product vision, define requirements, and guide the team through key milestones.Enjoy building 0-1 products from the ground up.Showcase strong leadership, organizational, and execution skills, along with proven communication abilities.About OpenAIOpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.
