Reimagine What's Possible
Dimensions:
- Geographical Scope of Customer Engineering: US & Canada
- Scope of Customer Engineering: Ultra-High Purity products that mostly support the Electronics Industry. The scope also includes stationary high pressure ASME storage tubes and industrial grade bulk gas equipment (i.e. discharging stanchions and high-pressure control manifolds).
- Industrial Gas Products: gaseous and liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon, hydrogen, helium and carbon dioxide.
- Reports to: CE Product Engineering Manager
- Functional interaction with: CE Product Engineering team (Liquid Bulk and Microbulk Engineering), CE Asset team, CE Project, Maintenance and Construction teams in the North, South, and West Regions. This role also interacts with Global UHP counterparts, in UK and Asia, to align on design philosophy.
- Cross Functional support with Liquid Bulk and Microbulk teams in CE Product Engineering
- 5% Travel
Responsibilities:
- This position owns the equipment set for UHP bulk gas delivery.
- Includes: Bulk Gas Manifolds (Gen 1 and Gen 2 designs), Misc. Bulk Gas Equipment, Hydrogen Vapor Phase Withdrawal tanks, and Atmospheric cryogenic storage tanks.
- This position owns the Third-Party Purifiers (Entegris and AES) and serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- This position owns the industrial grade bulk gas equipment: high pressure ASME storage tubes, discharging stanchions, and high-pressure control manifolds.
- Assist the CE Asset Team with UHP Liquid Storage Tank Rebuilds by owning the rebuild specification and bill of material.
- Assist the CE Asset Team with procuring new UHP Liquid Storage Tanks by maintaining the new tank specification and bill of material.
- Development of new products as required by business and customer needs.
- Develop product documentation packages and maintain revision control via Open Text.
- Prepare engineering documentation packages to give to a fabricator for quotation and build.
- Support the Project Team in preparing quotations for the Commercial team.
- Manage and maintain BOM's for specific Products developed by and owned by the team
- Maintain and update the Engineering Standards as the standard owner
Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of experience
- Understanding of Ultra High Purity engineering requirements
- Understanding of UHP customer applications of products
- Understanding of supplier base and manufacturing processes of products
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- Experience with P&ID Development
- Knowledge of PHAs, UltraFlo, CAPP, STAC, and Air Products PDMs
- Experience with Safety Relief Valve calculations and/or willingness to learn
- Microsoft Office, Share-sites, SAP
