Anon Overview
WE CONNECT AI TO THE INTERNET
- Anon is a developer toolkit for connecting AI applications to internet services, apps, data, and websites. We're building the connective tissue between AI agents and user identities.
- We abstract away complexity, allowing developers to focus on building innovative AI applications without worrying about authentication and integration challenges.
- Our mission is to unlock AI's unprecedented potential. We empower AI to act securely on behalf of users, making the web more traversable and paving the way for a more intelligent, automated internet.
WE ARE RESOURCED AND FOCUSED
- We have experience and capital. We've founded a $300mm VC-backed startup, worked at top tech companies, and raised >$13mm from exceptional investors.
- We are building a product developers love that enables profound new capabilities for AI agents to securely integrate with services and automate the internet.
- We are pursuing a massive TAM to be the identity layer for the next internet, where billions of agents are authenticated and managed via Anon.
UNDERDOGS ARE HUNGRY DOGS
- Commitment > Credentials: We're building a winning team, not collecting resume logos. We love working with former founders, and anyone who has a track record of pouring out your heart to win in the past. You can expect some late nights and weekend work as part of the journey.
- Communication > Comfort: We value people who overcommunicate, stay agile, and aren't afraid to speak up. Give and receive direct feedback, even when it's uncomfortable. Be in SF, come to the office, and collaborate face-to-face. We believe the best work happens when we're together, having fun while building amazing things.
- Resourcefulness > Perfection: We tackle ambitious challenges and find creative solutions. Embrace ambiguity, adapt to rapid changes, and be willing to ship imperfect attempts quickly. We need problem solvers who can work with incomplete information, not those who wait for perfect conditions.
Role Overview
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR EXCEPTIONAL GENERALISTS
- Chief of Staff hire at Anon. This is your chance to shape our business operations from the ground up. You'll define the function, create and implement critical processes, and take over founder-level work that directly impacts our strategy and operations.
- Impact across the business. You'll work closely with the Business Leadership team (Product & Growth) on initiatives that drive Anon's success. Your role will span multiple functions, including Finance, Legal, HR, BD, and Marketing.
- Versatility is key. This isn't a niche role - it's for highly adaptable, flexible go-getters who thrive in ambiguity. You'll need to seamlessly switch between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, wearing many hats as our needs evolve.
OWN CRITICAL BUSINESS FUNCTIONS
- Manage essential operations. You'll keep the lights on by owning critical functions like Finance & Payroll, Expenses & Bill Pay, HR, Legal, and Contracts. Develop and implement scalable processes to improve operational efficiency across the board.
- Drive strategic growth. Work directly with the CEO & Head of Growth on metrics and business efficiencies. You'll track, analyze, and report on sales, channel marketing performance, and key business KPIs. Your insights will inform critical business decisions.
- Measure and improve. Take ownership of tracking and enhancing our internal business metrics. Develop data-driven insights to optimize our operations and resource allocation, always with an eye towards scaling efficiently.
SUPERPOWERS YOU SHOULD HAVE
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization. You're the person everyone turns to when they need to get things in order. Your organizational skills are top-notch, and nothing slips through the cracks on your watch.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You're comfortable working with complex data sets and can turn that information into actionable insights. You have a knack for breaking down ambiguous problems and developing creative solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management. You can clearly convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. You have strong interpersonal skills and can influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with the tools we use every day. You're an early adopter of the latest tools and are comfortable with platforms like Linear, Mixpanel, Notion, and AI assistants like Claude/ChatGPT. You can quickly pick up and implement new technologies and processes.
- Relevant experience and education. You have 2-5 years of experience, ideally with a background in management consulting, investment banking, or (especially!) founder or early team roles at high-growth startups.
