Position Overview
QinetiQ US, is seeking a Senior Digital and Social Media Strategist to join our team in McLean,
VA. This role is eligible for hybrid work.
The Senior Digital and Social Media Strategist will report to the Director of External
Communications and Media Relations and assist in the development of corporate
communications across the enterprise with a focus on our website, intranet, and corporate
social media channels. This role will serve as our digital leader, specializing in optimizing our
digital channels for our multiple audiences.
This role requires advance knowledge of Sharepoint management and design; SiteCore content
management system, and management of social media channels.
Responsibilities
Acting under the direction of Director of External and Media Relations, the Senior Digital and
Social Media Strategist will actively manage QinetiQ US digital channels. This includes:
• Social media platform and community management
• Targeted social content creation for X, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram
• Assist with internal communications, including email, events, and internal corporate blog
• Manage updates to our Intranet homepages and operations pages via Sharepoint
• Update company website and develop new pages using SiteCore
• Foster storytelling to develop a dynamic, engaging brand experience that successfully
reflects the essence of our brand
• Provide graphic design for digital content
• Plan and execute social media and paid search marketing campaigns
• Conceptualize and create copy blogs, social media posts, and more
• Review communications for quality assurance and branding and the ability to provide
feedback
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or related field
• 5-10 years digital marketing experience
• Familiar with all social media platforms
• Expertise with Sharepoint, SiteCore, and social media management tools is required
• Understanding of digital governance and security needed
• Able to explain complex social media data in an understandable way
• Have a solid understanding of graphic design and writing for online channels
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Knowledge of advanced Google analytics, Sharepoint analytics, and social media
analytics required
• Ability to monitor social media for risks and work to create appropriate responses
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask/prioritize based on urgency
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Detail and team oriented
• Highly organized
• Ability to work across functions in a matrixed organization
