We are seeking a skilled and analytical Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be managing development for our utility products (primary) and oil & gas products (secondary), translating product vision into execution, and positioning products for commercial success. Your insights and strategies will be vital to driving speed in execution of new products and features for our customers.

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be managing development for our utility products (primary) and oil & gas products (secondary), translating product vision into execution, and positioning products for commercial success. Your insights and strategies will be vital to driving speed in execution of new products and features for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quantitative and qualitative research through customer interviews, internal stakeholder meetings, competitor evaluation, and product analytics.
- Synthesize research into actionable insights and use it to make suggestions for product improvements.
- Work with engineers to document product requirements for software to enable development and testing.
- Plan engineering workload in partnership with software engineering managers to ensure efficient allocation of development to maximize throughput.
- Carry out product acceptance testing on new features.
- Write release notes, marketing announcements, and other content for new features.
- Coordinate product launches for large releases.
- Create training documentation on product functionality for internal and external consumption.
- Manage product interface with Aeris Technologies to ensure hardware specifications are designed to support software functionality.
- Become an expert on our products and how they are used by our customers.
- Contribute to quarterly planning and roadmap development.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3-5 years of experience on a software product team as a product manager, product owner, or similar role.
- Experience being customer facing and synthesizing customer feedback into clear problem definition.
- Professional writing experience of release notes, technical documentation, knowledge base articles, or something similar.
- Adaptability to manage a wide range of projects within our product suite.
- A basic understanding of agile software development processes.
Nice to haves:
- Experience in the utility, oil & gas, environmental services, or any related industry.
- Previous use of a product tools such as Jira, Pendo, Google Analytics, or Heap or any business analytics tools like PowerBI or Spotfire.
- Knowledge of user experience design, especially any design tools such as Figma.
- Experience working with IoT devices and managing software built upon them
