Description

Project Canary is a climate technology company offering an enterprise data platform that helps energy companies improve and report on their emissions footprint. Project Canary builds high-fidelity sensors, ingests data from various other technologies and sources, and leverages proprietary analytics and models to deliver insights that operators can act on to reduce emissions. The data-driven technology enables energy operators to stop leaks faster, reduce risk, streamline reporting, and differentiate their operations for key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally to identify core data value propositions for our company and our customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within our customer base.
  • Provide expert advice on leveraging data and deliver tools, reports, and analyses to increase the power and utility of our data and solutions.
  • Work with sales and customer success teams to help communicate technical aspects of our product offering and solution on data integration into customer systems and processes.
  • Challenge existing business processes through data-driven insights
  • Garner key insights from data and communicate these findings to key stakeholders to help make data-driven decisions.
  • Analyze data to help contextualize continuous emissions monitoring data for customers including creating scalable analytical processes.
  • Create dashboards and other data intelligence tools for internal and externa stakeholder groups.
  • Develop advanced data tools to visualize complex concepts related to continuous emissions monitoring.
  • Sensor characterization using colocation data.
  • Create automated data analysis tools and applications.
  • SCADA data and emission event reconciliation
  • Emission distribution analyses and comparative studies of bottom-up inventories to measured inventories
  • Collaborate with product and data science teams to develop and test new product features and tools


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Graduate degree in statistics, computer science, other degrees with a concentration on statistical methods, or BA/BS with additional education and experience.
  • 7+ years of experience working in an analytical capacity.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience developing talent, building teams, and managing others. Preference for managing data teams that are customer facing.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, analysis, and visualization is a must
  • Strong preference for additional proficiency in Python, R, or similar statistical analysis tools or languages.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data reporting tools or BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship building skills to identify stakeholder needs, foster trust, challenge assumptions, and make recommendations.
