ASC is seeking a strong leader to fill ourPlant Managerrole, located in our North Kingstown, Rhode Island site. The Plant Manager willoversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed.This individual will be a critical contributor as we continue building the foundation for our future through growth strategy and operational improvements.

How You Will Help:

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the manufacturing plant to meet production schedules, ensure product quality, and achieve on-time delivery.
  • Partner with EHS to ensure safety, health, and environmental regulations, including local, state, and federal safety standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for operational efficiency, resource allocation, and process improvements.
  • Manage plant budgets and financial statements, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting financial goals.
  • Maintain and upgrade plant facilities and equipment, ensuring they are in optimal working condition; oversee necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
  • Monitor production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to optimize production processes and implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Create and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement, leading by example and building strong relationships with team members.
  • Implement and monitor inventory management strategies, ensuring proper material flow and minimizing waste.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage staff, providing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and performance.
  • Ensure timely communication and coordination between departments to meet production targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues, making data-driven decisions to improve plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.


What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in plant operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, and financial statements.
  • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in team building, decision-making, and people management.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, supply chain management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred.
  • Certification or experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or supply chain management.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards, including TOSHA and other health and safety regulations.
