About the Role

The Company is looking for an experienced VP of Accounting Operations to spearhead its accounting and financial reporting functions. This vital position involves orchestrating the preparation and filing of financial statements in accordance with SEC regulations, as well as developing and implementing robust internal control policies. You'll manage external audits and ensure the accuracy of general and technical accounting activities, including the closing process.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory requirements while supporting the organization's strategic goals. You'll collaborate with the finance team on budgets and forecasts and work closely with executive leadership to provide critical financial analysis and insights for decision-making.

To be considered for the VP of Accounting Operations role, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• CPA certification
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role within a public company
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance
• Experience using enterprise-level ERP systems

The role requires a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will also mentor the accounting team and enhance financial systems and processes to ensure the alignment of the company’s financial operations with its business objectives.
