The Senior Project Manager will manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, using acquired knowledge and industry experience to complete all project requirements on time, within budget, and to a level of quality that exceeds the expectations of the client and Company management. The SPM will work as part of a team and may supervise and direct team members.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and attaining a working knowledge of project documents;
- Selecting and/or managing subcontractors and suppliers;
- Attending, conducting and recording project meetings;
- Preparing and tracking submittals;
- Project scheduling;
- Project financial tracking and analysis;
- Site visitation and review;
- Coordinating work with the project superintendent or foreperson;
- Overseeing construction means and methods;
- Guiding construction site personnel and ensuring compliance with safety and health laws and regulations;
- Coordinating changes;
- Record-keeping and close out.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience at a building construction firm;
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Construction Management, or equivalent work experience;
- Working knowledge of contractual documents, plans, specifications and construction means and methods;
- Strong computer skills, proficiency with Procore, MS Outlook, Excel, Word and MS Project;
- Experience using accounting software, e.g. Sage;
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, make project decisions;
- Participate in training to increase job knowledge and improve performance;
- OSHA 10 Certification; OSHA 30 Certification within 6 months of hire.
