DescriptionPosition Summary:The Controller will oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role involves leading the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial management, and contributing to strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing financial operations in a dynamic business environment.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management and Reporting:Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP.Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.Present financial reports and insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.Accounting Operations:Manage and streamline daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.Oversee intercompany transactions and multi-entity consolidations (if applicable).Compliance and Internal Controls:Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.Prepare for and manage external audits, ensuring all required documentation is provided.Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and standards.Team Leadership:Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance skills and performance.Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.Strategic Support:Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency.Collaborate with department heads on financial planning and resource allocation.Drive process improvements and technology upgrades to enhance financial operations.RequirementsQualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA requiredExperience:10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Skills:Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Effective communication and leadership abilities.Preferred Experience:Experience in cash-based or accrual accounting practices for multi-entity operations.Familiarity with financial systems upgrades and process automation.Job typePerm
