An amazing number, but we’re always looking for new ways to continue making a difference, and new people to make a difference with.The opportunityWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director, Patent Attorney – Small Molecule to develop and implement the IP strategy for Teva’s late-stage small molecule innovative product pipeline and marketed products.How you’ll spend your dayAct as the primary Legal-IP advisor on innovative product development teamsDevelop and execute robust patent filing/prosecution strategiesGuide decision-making to minimize IP risk Collaborate with Legal and Regulatory Affairs to ensure effective Hatch-Waxman strategy (exclusivity, Orange Book listing, etc.)Proactively identify and address legal issues arising from development plans, commercialization, and regulatory strategiesWork with IP litigation colleagues to defend Teva’s IP and secure freedom to operateSupport on-time product launches by providing guidance on US and ex-US IP landscapesManage outside prosecution and opinion counsel to ensure high-quality work within budgetSupport business development activities and patent litigation related to small molecule productsYour experience and qualificationsJuris Doctor from an accredited law school and admission to practice as a US patent attorneyBSc or higher degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field8+ years of post-qualification experience as a patent attorney in the pharmaceutical industryExtensive experience with patent prosecution and IP systems in major pharmaceutical marketsExtensive experience and strong understanding of development processes and regulatory pathways for small molecule drugs in the US and other markets Ability to anticipate, identify, communicate, and resolve risks effectivelyCollaborative nature with excellent relationship-building skillsStrong business acumen and ability to support department goalsTechniques to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing prioritiesProficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPointRole locationWest Chester, Pennsylvania
