The Electrical Controls Assembler takes responsibility to safely and efficiently comprehending design specifications and instructions throughout the build process. Responsible for performing routine building of all sub-assemblies of components. At times operate aerial lift, scissor lift and forklift and Cranes to complete the assembly of equipment. You will be part of our DF&H (Diversified Food & Health) division more specifically with our preservation team. This group has 70% of the canning industry through thermal processing. The Electrical Controls Assembler takes responsibility to safely and efficiently comprehending design specifications and instructions throughout the build process. Responsible for performing routine building of all sub-assemblies of components. At times operate aerial lift, scissor lift and forklift and Cranes to complete the assembly of equipment. Must understand and have a strong demonstrated commitment to safety to include LOTO procedures. Must be familiar with the tools of the trade. JBT provides all tools required On a given day, you may: Lay out, plan and perform a wide variety shop floor assembly installation consisting of but not limited to mechanical fastening of electronic/electrical components to electrical panels and electrical enclosures. Receives general instructions & guidance through repairs, assembly, and installation projects Complete point-to-point machine and conveyor wiring. Use common assembly tools like hand and power tools, drills, conduit benders, pipe threading equipment and measuring devices such as volt meters and continuity testers as required. System testing consisting of checking input/output to all devices, verify correct operations of devices and systems. Verify parts are free of flaws, defects, or imperfections and meet all dimensional requirements as specified on drawings. Assist Engineering with machine testing and factory acceptance testing as needed Use forklift as needed for material handling tasks. Maintain forklift training and certification. Maintain 5s Complies with all Safety rules and regulations, including: Compliance with all written safety procedures, policies, and work practices. Reports all incidents including injuries and illnesses, near misses, property damage, chemical spills and fires to a Team Lead immediately. Participates in safety meetings, training, and committees. Reports all hazards, unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors to a Team Lead. Intervenes with co-workers when unsafe behaviors are observed. Conducts required inspections Performs additional duties as assigned. Requirements for the role: High school diploma / GED 3-5 years’ experience is preferred Strong knowledge of machines in a manufacturing setting Ability to accurately read complex blueprints and schematics Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift Committed to quality, safety and communication Team-oriented and self-directed Must possess strong math skills Proven history of work experience in the layout, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems from blueprints. Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management Must be customer service oriented. Maintain a safe and clean work space Follow established safety rules and regulations Strong ability to analyze the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production Industrial equipment experiences a must (conduit, sensors, disconnects, etc.) Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly COMPENSATION RANGE: $24.00-$32.00 Compensation is determined on experience and skill.
