Job Title: Accounting Manager- Service Focused

Reports to: Regional Director of Accounting- Central

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager will oversee/perform all aspects of accounting to ensure efficient processes are in place while producing monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP. This position will be a critical hands-on manager and will lead or assist with several key initiatives related to system implementations and migration.

Key Deliverables

• Efficient management of all accounting, including service billing, accounts payable, AR collections, cash application, fixed assets and payroll, HR and benefits
• Monthly financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with new ERP implementation, treasury migration etc.
• Optimize, develop and monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and controls

Position Responsibilities

• Oversee all billing and collections related to service work- WIP, Job Costing, AIA billing.
• All accounts payable processing, vendor set up, invoice entry, check runs, statement reconciliation, 1099 processing at year end
• All banking activities, cash application to open invoices, timely deposits, bank reconciliations, ACH monitoring, etc.
• Payroll and benefits, process payroll for all employees, assist with new hire onboarding, benefit administration, etc.
• Insurance: ensure all policies meet minimum business requirements, GL/PL, auto and workers comp. Ensure timely payment and calendar basis accounting for premiums
• All other balance sheet account ownership, including accounting correctly for prepaid expenses, fixed asset additions, disposals, depreciation, right of use assets/liabilities, accrued expenses and equity
• Work collaboratively with the senior management and support others within organization

Position Requirements

Minimum

• 5 years of prior accounting experience w/ a focus on technical accounting- construction/service/contractor strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience in an Accounting Manager or similar role
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Systems integration experience
• Understanding of service workorder billing
• Accounts payable, payroll and benefit processing
• Ability to work autonomously, open to taking direction as needed
• Team player, ready to pitch in
• Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple workstreams
• Ability to learn quickly, thrives in dynamic work environment
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

• Detailed-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, completion, and compliance

Preferred

• Experience with Service/Construction/Contractor accounting
• Microsoft office user - strong excel, vlookup, macros, etc.
• Viewpoint Spectrum experience a plus (migrating to new ERP)

Compensation and Benefits:
