The Multi Domain Solutions Division at Leidos is looking for an experienced COMSEC Manager to support a fast-paced program with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. With a focus on continuous improvement, the COMSEC Manager lead plays a critical role in safeguarding communications integrity and maintaining the trust of the organization., managing multiple networks across various customer sites. The COMSEC Manager lead is responsible for overseeing the organization's communications security program, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves developing and implementing policies, conducting training, managing inventory, and coordinating audits and inspections. This role also collaborates with various stakeholders to assess risks, investigate incidents, and enhance security measures.

Pay Range: Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00

The COMSEC Manager lead is responsible for overseeing the organization's communications security program, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and compliance with regulatory standards. Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and enforce COMSEC policies and procedures in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Assess and manage risks associated with communications security, including vulnerability assessments and incident response planning.
- Conduct training sessions for personnel on COMSEC protocols, procedures, and the importance of safeguarding classified information.
- Maintain accurate inventory of COMSEC material, including keying equipment and cryptographic keys, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
- Lead regular audits and inspections of COMSEC operations to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and external organizations to ensure seamless communication and compliance with COMSEC requirements.
- Investigate and report any COMSEC incidents, breaches, or anomalies, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of COMSEC equipment and software, ensuring they meet security standards.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging threats to recommend improvements to COMSEC strategies and technologies.
Basic Qualifications:
- US Citizen with a Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of COMSEC principles, practices, and technologies.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., NIST, FIPS, NSA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to conduct training and develop educational materials.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in security management (e.g., CISSP, CISM, COMPTIA Security+).
- Experience in risk management and incident response.
- Familiarity with encryption technologies and key management systems.
- Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Knowledge of emerging trends and threats in communications security.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in security-related software and tools.
