Click on the following link to see a little of what we have to offer: JOB DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of events in the Village Theater, including set-up and tear-down of private events, rehearsals, classes and productions, and both front- and back-of-house operations. Work assignments will occur at various locations, including the Village Theater and Cherry Hill School. EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed.) Provides supervision of the overall operation of the theater in the absence of full-time Village Theater staff. Assists House Managers and Technical Crew with hospitality related tasks during events at The Village Theater. Assists in the coordination of set-up, tear-down, and clean-up of programs and events. Responsible for the general security of the Village Theater or other assigned facility, including any necessary communication with local law enforcement agencies. Maintains accurate daily attendance reports, as well as accident/incident reports. Responsible for facility promotion and positive public relations through interactions with the facility patrons. Ensures safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures are followed by guests. Maintains accurate program, activity and equipment records. Responsible for responding to, communicating and documenting emergency situations and incidents, including, but not limited to, First Aid, CPR, Severe Weather and Missing Child Events. Responsible for interaction with participants, families and staff members in a positive, professional and friendly manner to ensure a high level of customer service and delivery of quality programs. Works with supervisor to ensure that proper ADA accommodations are met in the facility Inspects and prepares facilities and equipment for planned programs and events; reports equipment damage to Performing Arts Coordinator and Technical Director. Responsible for enforcement of departmental rules and regulations, operating procedures, and policies. Attends meetings and/or training as directed. May assist with duties performed by the House Manager, including, but not limited to, front desk tasks, computer registration, fee collection, and money handling. Performs other duties as required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Minimum of 18 years of age. High school graduate or GED required. Previous theater experience, working in a similar facility or program, preferred. Special events experience preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills required. Ability to perform manual lifting and loading of program supplies and equipment. Ability to clearly communicate procedures, problems, and policies with fellow employees and the public tactfully and courteously. Ability to demonstrate techniques and skills associated with assigned programs and activities. Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and efficient manner. Skill
