Job Description:

As an independent division within Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, Inc., ControlTech Automation (CTA) is a control panel integrator and fabricator for process, packaging, utility, and other industries. CTA is based in St. Louis and specializes in control panels for systems integrators and production facilities located throughout the United States. CTA can provide control solutions for a single piece of equipment, an entire process, or a complete plant. CTA has engineering design capabilities or will build panels from customer-supplied design packages.

In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world's leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Control Systems Integration team and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You'll Do
  • We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to oversee all aspects of operations for our 150,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility. You will lead a team of 50+ professionals across multiple departments, including assembly, wiring, inspection, shipping/receiving, and inventory management. If you are an inspiring leader able to optimize processes, develop talent, and drive continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.
  • Provide strategic leadership and daily oversight of all production activities to meet targets for output, quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Partner closely with operations and commercial teams to develop and execute weekly, monthly, and annual production plans.
  • Create and monitor KPI dashboards related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, sustainability, productivity, and inventory turns.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, enhance quality, and maximize output.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor 5 direct reports as well as frontline supervisors and team leaders to build capabilities and boost engagement.
  • Oversee administrative activities such as capacity planning, inventory control, maintenance scheduling, equipment calibration, and disposition of outdated tools/machines.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, ISO, and customer-specific policies and procedures.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement through Lean/Six Sigma initiatives and employee suggestion programs.
  • Manage capital projects for new equipment installation and upgrades.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing operations, engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years in an industrial manufacturing leadership role, with experience managing 50+ employees
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies
  • Highly proficient with ERP/MRP systems, MS Office, and smart factory technologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • P&L management experience preferred
  • Experience with union environments a plus
