Responsibilities

  • Accountability for financial planning, governance, and evaluation of risk in periodic, quarterly, and annual financial processes for the facility
  • Owns and/or assists in the development of the annual budget and monthly forecast, including collaborating with Leadership Team members and other stakeholders
  • Ensure conformance and accuracy of financial documents according to JDI standard and government regulations
  • Embraces technology to support and automate financial processes and controls, solve problems, analyze data, and provide analytics and data visualization to better explain key patterns, trends, and correlations. Identifies opportunities and strategic options using digital and data technology to provide real-time data and advance a data-driven culture
  • Through strategic, daily, process and initiative management, focus on improving our processes and update 3-year strategic plan
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to develop Accounting and IT teams
  • Support safety policy and procedures, including monthly audits and peer to peer reviews, by leading through example


Qualifications

  • University Degree with a concentration / major in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-8+ years' relevant experience in Accounting / Finance
  • Professional Accounting Designation
  • Experience in cost accounting and/or a manufacturing background is an asset
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and ability to develop, implement, and ensure compliance of, professional accounting standards, requirements, and procedures based on the region/country in a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to assess, analyze, and manage risk using appropriate frameworks and critical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently, objectively, and have an ethical thought process to problem solving, and advising on decision-making in the face of ambiguity and complexity.
  • Knowledge or experience with VBA, J.D Edwards, TM1, & Cognos
  • Proven ability to lead a team and provide guidance/coaching.
  • Development and delivery of executive level presentations is a strong asset.
