VHS is looking for an OB/GYN Hospitalist for Hinesville, GA!
Program Details
  • OB/GYNs to Provide GYN Coverage: Yes
  • OB/GYNs Needed for First Assist: Yes
  • Currently 2 Providers in clinic daily 1 MD and 1NP increasing to up to 4 PT MD s
Program Objectives:
  • Provide clinic and L&D support to ensure consistent high-quality care.
  • Expand access to care for women in the community
  • Reduce time to OB visits and Well Women s visits
  • Increase support resources that are easily accessible and education courses or patients
  • Opportunity to increase patient support through seamless OB care between office and hospital
Hospital Details
  • MHAS Providers in clinic M-F, 8a-5p, and on-call after hours.
  • Only on call Saturday and Sunday.
  • Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.): 18-19
  • Total Hospital Deliveries (annual avg.): 227
  • Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (monthly avg.): 7.5
  • Total Hospital/Clinic GYN Surgery Volume (annual avg.): 90
  • NICU No (closest delivery delivering hospital for next level care: 1 hour, could be longer depending on traffic
  • Anesthesia: Only use CRNA s and there is always one on call, they do not stay in house but at a call house 5 minutes down the road
  • MFM: Call the MFM on call at Memorial if we ever need to transfer anyone, or if the doctor needs to consult an MFM for potential transfer
  • Fetal Monitoring System: Cintricity
  • EMR used in Hospital: Evident
  • EMR used in Clinic: Athena Centricity
  • Current OR days for Clinicians: Two per week
