Emergency Medicine Physician

Hospital is in need of EM coverage. This will be ongoing coverage and can have no gaps. Current schedule is 2 providers per 24 hours working 12 hour shifts. Coverage is supplemented with employed APPs that work 10a-10p. Open Dates: 2024 * Dec 25th Jan 2nd (7a 7p) * Dec 26th (7p 7a) * Jan 1st (7p 7a) 2025 * Jan 18th 19th (7a 7p) * Jan 21st Jan 23rd (7p 7a) * Jan 30th Feb 4th (7a 7p) Details: * 1.5-2 patients per hour on average * 12 hours of mid-level assistance during peak hours * EMR - Meditech * Must be comfortable with all ages * A minimum of 250 case logs in the last year * The state of ND requires ATLS for any EM provider practicing in the state * Must be comfortable with all procedures (Intubations, Chest Tubes, Central Lines, Critical Care, Procedural Sedation, Airway Management OB/GYN and Deliveries, Adult and Pediatric resuscitation). * Feels more like a big hospital, but it's actually a critical access hospital. A lot of support staff that you find at a bigger hospital. * Credentialing timeline; 4 weeks, or shorter. Will do temps. * Mid-levels work 12 hours a day 10-10p. On Mondays, they have 2 APPs due to higher census. Submission Requirements * Must have PALS, ATLS, ACLS * ABEM preferred; FM/IM with extensive ED experience including Trauma (at least 3 years with a minimum of 250 case logs in the last calendar year, prior work in level II trauma center or academic center). * Required to be boarded * Active ND license or IMLC required - license preferred
