About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for its Pet Segment. The successful candidate will serve as a key advisor to the President of Pet Products, providing strategic and financial guidance. This role is pivotal in overseeing all financial fiduciary responsibilities, including financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and business planning. The CFO will also be involved in the accuracy of financial statements, internal controls, and financial diligence of potential acquisitions. As a member of the leadership team, the CFO will participate in key decisions and engage with the central CFO on financial issues and trends. Applicants for the Pet CFO position should be seasoned leaders with a minimum of 15 years of broad finance experience, particularly in a high-performance consumer products manufacturing environment. A BS/BA in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required, with a preference for a CPA and MBA. The role demands exceptional financial and operational analysis skills, a proven track record of meeting financial deadlines, and a history of talent development. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, be fluent in GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and have experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP. The CFO will be responsible for managing a large finance team and must demonstrate strengths in project management, problem-solving, and change management.
