The Team
IWMS is committed to delivering accessible digital experiences for our clients and their investors alike. To successfully deliver on this commitment, accessibility best practices, techniques and requirements need to be ingrained throughout the product development lifecycle and processes across the platform.
To achieve this, we are in the process of building out a team of associates with accessibility expertise whose primary objective is to help drive a culture of accessibility. The opportunity is for an Accessibility Strategist to meaningfully contribute to accessibility related work, not only in FIT but across the enterprise. This would include engagement with Procurement, Governance, Fidelity ERGs and cross-platform teams.
The Value You Deliver
Assist with accessibility information architecture
Build out an Accessibility Hub on either Sharepoint or Confluence that would serve as a resource for all FIT/FBOT associates
Identify and create linkage to appropriate enterprise level documentation
Communication
Partner with Squad members (Squad Leaders, Chapter Leaders, and squad members representing UXD, Development and Testing) across FIT to create and document role specific best practices.
Support Office Hours and the distribution of post meeting collateral.
Execute on opportunities to improve accessibility vendors and relationships.
Ensure FI accessibility documentation aligns with enterprise accessibility initiatives:
Test cases
Checklists
Compliance Gates
Training/Rollout
Representing FIT/FBOT, support enterprise D&I initiatives
Champion a culture of accessibility and inclusion
Global Accessibility Awareness Day
Disability Awareness Month
Americans with Disabilities Act Anniversary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accessibility Strategist co-op to join our Accessibility Team in Boston. They will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with cross functional teams working in the Platform domain with a focus on our future digital experience.

Identify Fidelity associates with whom this Co-Op could connect to learn more about organizational priorities/deliverables/career pathing
Include the Co-Op in Strategy & Standards COE Team meetings
Establish twice-weekly check-ins to review week's priorities, check in on progress and create opportunity to provide direction
Prioritize Co-Op learning opportunities led by University Talent
Create capacity for individual learning and exploration (i.e. FCAT, chart room, WCAG)
Create opportunities to visit other offices
