Description

The Quality Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing) Will:

  • Review engineering requirements to ensure proper flow-down of customer specifications.
  • Develop and implement internal quality planning documents aligned with customer requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve product and process quality issues.
  • Collaborate with teams to create and improve PFMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAPs.
  • Lead action plan development to enhance performance and achieve quality goals.
  • Identify and implement proactive solutions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Train and support teams on new quality initiatives and best practices.
  • Perform internal and external quality audits to maintain compliance and drive improvements.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 plus years of experience in a Quality Engineer position at a manufacturing organization, aerospace preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 (required); AS9100 and AS13100 (preferred).
  • Background in quality engineering or manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficient in quality improvement tools, root cause analysis, error proofing, and quality auditing.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting across all company levels and with external clients.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet customers and suppliers.
