About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting to join our dynamic team within our REIT. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, manage internal reporting, and lead external audit activities, contributing significantly to our success. You will be responsible for guiding a team of direct and indirect reports, collaborating closely with executive management, and ensuring full compliance with GAAP.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing fund, construction, and corporate accounting.
• Collaborating with auditors to review financial statements.
• Performing quarter-end consolidations and updating financial models continuously.
• Preparing various financial statements and managing ad hoc reporting and special projects.

To be a strong candidate, you should possess a BS and/or MS degree in accounting or a related field, along with a CPA certification. A minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting is preferred, as well as 4 years in a Controller role, specifically supporting commercial or residential portfolios. You must have:

• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and fund reporting.
• Strong managerial experience.
• Proficiency in Yardi or similar real estate accounting software.
