Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to: The Senior Logistics Manager shall perform all the duties, functions, and responsibilities of Logistician III. The Senior Logistics Manager shall serve as Team Lead to maximize the capabilities of each individual member of the Team to meet requirements. The Senior Logistics Manager shall serve as Team Lead for task organizing. The Senior Logistics Manager shall serve as the primary liaison between the Government and the Contractor to ensure all tasks are prioritized, completed on time, and of the highest quality. Logistical tasks include knowledge and experience of a broad range of policies, procedures and techniques related to inventory management to determine requirements, position/reposition items, initiate procurement, schedule maintenance and repair of items, and dispose of others. Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in conducting logistical tasks for commercial or government organizations. Knowledge and experience of specialized methods and techniques used to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of supply programs and/or operations. Knowledge and experience of the organization, regulations, policies, and procedures of Coast Guard supply systems to accomplish material coordination responsibilities and make valid material management decisions. Knowledge and experience of the technical features and uses of assigned equipment and their relationship to supply and demand condition to successfully manage items, coordinate supply/program support and resolve supply/program support problems. Knowledge and experience of provisioning, transportation, storage, cataloging, maintenance, repair and disposal in order to perform material management processes and make material management decisions. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) Minimum of a master’s degree in a logistics related field. Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
