Position Overview

What You'll Be Doing:

Compliance and HRIS
  • Monitor and research federal and state regulations that impact KPFF policies and develop comprehensive HR compliance resources.
  • Lead and coordinate annual compliance activities, including KPFF's Affirmative Action Plan, EEO filings, and other required federal and state reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Work with local offices and Talent Acquisition team to maintain job descriptions that comply with federal and/or state requirements.
  • Provide support for KPFF's HRIS, testing and implementing new features and leveraging data to inform HR strategy.
  • Create customized reports in the Paycom HRIS and PowerBI in support of people initiatives.
  • Coordinate annual salary and benefits surveys, collaborating with local offices as needed.
    Benefits and Leave Administration
  • Collaborate with the Leaves Specialist to ensure the seamless administration of KPFF's Leaves of Absence programs, providing expert guidance and support to managers and employees.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries and approve enrollments in Paycom HRIS, ensuring the accuracy of employee information.
  • Contribute to annual Open Enrollment and the design of materials to enhance understanding of the KPFF's benefits package.
  • Conduct ongoing audits of benefit plan deductions.
  • Process, audit, and reconcile monthly and quarterly billing for benefit providers.
  • Build strong relationships by working with employees and managers to resolve benefits-related questions.
    Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborate with the Benefits and Payroll teams regarding compliance and updates to the Paycom HRIS.
  • Foster teamwork with other internal General & Administrative (G&A) teams.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure thorough and up-to-date documentation of all compliance processes, offering training and resources to empower stakeholders and promote a proactive approach to compliance at KPFF.

Who We're Looking For:
  • 5 - 7 years of experience supporting a variety of HR processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Experience with HRIS platform (Paycom experience is a plus).
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for data analysis and communication
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative without close supervision, identify opportunities for process improvement, and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven track record of completing projects and tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly addressed and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Strong ability to work well with various stakeholders, fostering positive relationships and effective collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining high quality.
  • Proactively solve problems, leveraging strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Uphold professionalism consistently by handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Thrive independently and in teams, showcasing adaptability and initiative in fast-paced environments.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Duties are typically performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table
  • Ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day and communicate over the telephone or virtual meeting platforms.
  • May occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs.
  • Work in downtown Seattle office 5 days/week, with flexible work hours between 7 am and 5 pm.

    Compensation:
    The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate with 5-7 years of experience is $80,000 - $85,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
