Purpose:
The Account Manager is responsible for maximizing long-term sales of Elastomer Division products/services within a defined territory and a significant number of assigned national/global accounts by utilizing complete knowledge of all the Division's products/services, policies, capabilities and objectives to develop and implement effective long-term account strategies.

Purpose:
The Account Manager is responsible for maximizing long-term sales of Elastomer Division products/services within a defined territory and a significant number of assigned national/global accounts by utilizing complete knowledge of all the Division's products/services, policies, capabilities and objectives to develop and implement effective long-term account strategies.
Job Functions/Accountabilities:
- Sells the Division's products and services by establishing strong long-term business relationships with existing customer base and in particular national/global accounts.
- Leads Account Team in developing and implementing national and/or global account strategies to meet the customer's long-term needs in a manner consistent with ZCLP's objectives and capabilities.
- Plays a leading role with assistance from Sales & Marketing management in the development and implementation of customer contracts/supply agreements.
- Plays a leadership role in influencing the entire ZCLP organization towards improving its Customer Focus.
- Maintains a strong working knowledge of the Division's product lines, markets and technologies and that of the rubber industry, as a whole. Plays an active leadership role in rubber industry groups.
- Plays an active role in monitoring the quality of ZCLP products/services and in defining how ZCLP can enhance its capabilities of meeting the long-term technical/commercial needs of the Division's customers.
- Establishes an annual sales plan (volume and dollars) for the territory and assigned national accounts and proactively monitors sales results and changing market and economic conditions to ensure that plan is achieved.
- Thinks innovatively, actively investigates opportunities for new products & applications. Coordinates with Corporate Technology and the Technical Service Group.
- Reports in a prompt, accurate and concise manner significant developments within territory and assigned national accounts via interaction reports in Salesforce.
- Constantly monitors competitive activity and reports significant developments promptly and accurately; Completes annual competitive survey for territory and assigned national/global accounts.
- Promptly and accurately refers customer complaints to the Customer Response System and ensures customer is satisfied with ZCLP corrective action.
- Submits administrative reports (timesheets, expense reports, RPA's) in an accurate and timely manner.
- Continuously seeks ways to improve the performance of our facility's operation and ensures that customers' (both internal and external) needs are met. Adhere to the quality system.
- Performs all other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or other related field is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience in technical sales may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience:
- Minimum ten years of successful experience as a Sales Representative/Senior Sales Representative
