Purpose:

The Demand Planner manages the demand and replenishment of designated product lines to ensure proper inventory levels. This position is responsible for driving cross-functional engagement and participation through the planning process to ensure company goals and customer satisfaction are achieved.

This position is a hybrid role with office located in Louisville, KY.

Job Functions/Accountabilities:

Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Plans for finished goods inventory replenishment using SAP-based MRP system. Works cross-department with Operations/Purchasing/Warehousing/Sales & Marketing to maintain use, accuracy, and utility of MRP system. Maintains Material Master data in SAP Participates in the New Product Introduction process Facilitates cross-departmental project meetings with purpose of:

Educating interested parties about MRP capabilities and best practices Gaining input from interested parties on their needs and desired future state Performing gap analysis and developing an actionable project plan Addressing roadblocks to ensure accountability for completion of action items to plan Process and continuous improvement

Ensures documentation is sufficient to support long-term sustainability of MRP. Supports organization as MRP process expert. Inventory Management

For finished goods produced in Kentucky plant, toll manufacturing locations, and selected imports:

Ensures inventory availability at multiple warehouses to support customer demand, on-time delivery, and inventory targets. Controls distribution of inventory in accordance with Management directive. Demand Planning

Coordinates with Business Managers, Operations, and Purchasing to establish near and mid-term production schedules. Continuously maintains demand expectations for each product based on historical sales, customer input, market intelligence and financial objectives. Leads weekly production planning meeting with Kentucky plant and interested parties. Compliance, Continuous Improvement, & Other Responsibilities

Maintains strong alignment with Business Managers and coordinates with sales team regarding sales forecasting and inventory balancing. Intermediate user of Power BI business intelligence software, as both a producer and consumer of data. Power user of SAP. Promotes consolidation of processes into SAP and acts as internal support to others. Maintains working knowledge of relevant JSOX processes; contributes to compliance of current procedures and considers JSOX implications during continuous improvement activities. Acts as change agent to continuously improve performance of our facility's operation and ensures that customers' (both internal and external) needs are met. Adheres to the quality system. Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business preferred. Business courses in Marketing/Sales, MBA, and/or APICS certification are desirable. Experience:

At least 5 years in planning, scheduling, or purchasing preferred. SAP or similar ERP system proficiency at an intermediate/advanced user level, ideally in Materials Management (MM) and/or Sales & Distribution (SD) SAP modules. Working familiarity with Material Resource Planning (MRP) preferred. Advanced ability with Microsoft Excel for ad-hoc analysis is necessary. Experience working for a chemical or specialty material company preferred. Special Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal skills with desire for frequent in-person interaction. Self-starter and highly motivated. Eager to prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to all levels of the organization. Proven ability to be a dynamic team player.
