This is a hybrid role (Principal or Senior Principal level); not eligible for 100% remote. You must live within a commutable distance from our downtown Chicago office to be considered for the role.

What You'll Do
  • Lead enterprise Data Governance and MDM implementations, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead analysis, architecture, design and development of data governance and MDM solutions on client projects.
  • Assist in the development of critical data models in support of various MDM data domains.
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures, including data quality, data platform management, and data catalog/glossary maintenance.
  • Utilize SQL skills to manage and effectively conduct exploratory data analysis; foundational knowledge in Python scripting is a plus.
  • Work with best-in-class data governance technologies such as Informatica, Purview, Profisee, data.world, Reltio, and Collibra to support data management and governance initiatives.
  • Design, implement, and manage data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Fabric, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
  • Conduct workshops, facilitate decision-making processes, and develop technology roadmaps to guide client organizations' data management strategies.
  • Perform data governance maturity assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Assess data quality, remediate data quality issues, develop data quality rules, create metrics, thresholds, and responses for data quality, and automate monitoring
  • Train and coach data stewards on Data Governance best practices and creating templates, user guides, playbooks, and support documentation


What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in developing enterprise level solutions in modern governance tools such as Collibra, Alation and/or Informatica and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
  • Collaborative solutioning approach to develop, sell and/or implement data governance recommendations based on a client's needs, priorities, and environment
  • Experience in creating MDM and data governance strategies, with the ability to confidently discuss requirements, priorities, potential solutions and MDM architecture patterns.
  • Experience with defining, organizing, and publishing business and technical metadata, and implementing data management technologies (e.g., Data Catalog, Data Quality, Master Data Management, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and influence decision-making processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in developing technology roadmaps and conducting analytics maturity assessments.
  • Experience in project management and leading cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
