Position Summary

The Account Executive of Marketing at Kellen plays a crucial role in driving marketing initiatives for clients. This position involves developing and executing outcome-driven marketing strategies, fostering creativity in campaigns, staying abreast of industry trends, and maintaining client relationships. This role requires thriving in a fast-paced environment, embracing a proactive and innovative approach to achieve measurable outcomes.

Essential Functions

Outcome-driven Strategy
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with client goals.
  • Emphasize measurable outcomes and prioritize growth in all initiatives


Creative Campaigns
  • Collaborate on the implementation of imaginative marketing campaigns.
  • Engage the target audience and drive lead generation through creative approaches.


Proactive Market Research
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape.
  • Identify opportunities for clients through proactive market research.


Experimentation and Innovation
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Encourage the testing of new channels, tactics, and technologies for innovative approaches.


Multitasking and Project Management
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of marketing initiatives.


Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and providing strategic recommendations.


Analytics
  • Analyze marketing data to extract actionable insights.
  • Utilize analytics tools for optimization and informed decision-making.
  • Track and evaluate the performance of marketing campaigns.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to maximize return on investment.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate/graduate degree in marketing or communications preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work in communications, marketing, and/or association management.
  • Experience in team management with a background in marketing education, training, conferences, events, or webinars.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing, including strong writing and communication skills, coupled with experience working with professional associations, non-profits, or volunteer-led organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize deliverables, and make sound decisions.
  • Expertise in social media development, posting, reporting, and collaboration across departments, complemented by past agency experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Smart Sheet (preferred), Google Analytics, email platforms (Constant Contact or Informz), social media tools (Sprout Social), and survey tools (Survey Monkey).

This position operates within an office environment.   • Hybrid Work Environment: All employees located within commuting distance of one of Kellen's offices are required to go in on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Flexibility in going into the office additional days may be necessary.
  • Extended Work Hours: The nature of this role may require more than 40 hours per week to fulfill job responsibilities. Additionally, flexibility in working nights and weekends may be necessary. Longer hours, travel, and weekend commitments are typically associated with conferences or special events.
  • Office Equipment Usage: The role routinely involves the use of standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
