Reporting to the Owner and CEO, the People, Business Partner supports and works in all areas of HR such as benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, diversity, inclusion, recruitment, health and safety, policy/procedure interpretation, employee communications, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate can juggle numerous requests on a regular basis. They provide exceptional HR services and guidance to employees, managers and leaders. This individual will also embody and support a welcoming culture within each concept based on PLANTA's vision and values.

PEOPLE BUSINESS PARTNER
Reporting to the Owner and CEO, the People, Business Partner supports and works in all areas of HR such as benefits administration, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, diversity, inclusion, recruitment, health and safety, policy/procedure interpretation, employee communications, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate can juggle numerous requests on a regular basis. They provide exceptional HR services and guidance to employees, managers and leaders. This individual will also embody and support a welcoming culture within each concept based on PLANTA's vision and values.
WHAT'S ON YOUR PLATE
- Acts as the main contact for driving and leading HR initiatives across all locations with a focus on retention, engagement, culture and recognition.
- Coach and counsel leaders through a variety of topics including performance management, progressive discipline, terminations and other issues related to policy and employment law across US and Canada.
- Contribute to HR projects, change management initiatives and processes that drive the HR agenda and support the business' goals and objectives.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Leader and People Operations Specialist on new job offers, system updates and coordinate the onboarding and offboarding programs (implement Exit Survey).
- Assist with Job Fairs and Orientation of new restaurant openings.
- Benefits and open enrollment administration.
- Manage compliance activities to include EEOC, ADA, ACA, WC and FMLA.
- Unemployment Claim administration.
- Develop PLANTA Wellness and Perks program with US partners.
- Deliver training and onboarding presentations as required.
INGREDIENTS YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 5+ years progressive HR experience with broad HR knowledge - Hospitality and multi-state/location experience preferred (including NYC and California)
- SHRM, SHRM-CP, PHR or Related Degree preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Travel up to 15%
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Preference for individuals who have HR generalist/business partner roles
- Fully understand and embody PLANTA's can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you
