Due to growth, E.R. Snell Contractor is looking for a well-rounded Legal Assistant with both transactional and litigation experience. Primary responsibilities include creating, administering, reviewing, and tracking all contracts as well as providing claim management services for E.R. Snell's litigated and pre-litigated claims. The Legal Assistant will also be responsible for overseeing the job closeout process with all subcontractors. The Legal Assistant will work closely with and report to the General Counsel.The Legal Assistant must have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and dedication to professional development. E.R. Snell is looking for a proactive self-starter who enjoys working cross-functionally in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.This is an in-office role working from the corporate office in Snellville.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare contract documents that meet legal, regulatory and business requirements.
  • Assist in administering contracts and advising managers regarding potential improvements or issues.
  • Review and manage Certificates of Insurance with subcontractors and vendors, including requests and renewals.
  • Provide recommendations relating to any exceptions or items of concern pertaining to proposed contract revisions.
  • Ensure the company's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
  • Report and assist with the reporting of claims to insurance carriers directly and through the company's third-party administrator.
  • Aid General Counsel with preparation of interrogatory answers and other discovery requests.
  • Analyze claims trends and data and generate reports and summaries.
  • Oversee and manage job closeout process with all subcontractors to assure no outstanding items or payments.
  • Maintain professional relationships with company employees and business partners.
  • Assist General Counsel as needed with respect to ongoing litigation matters, garnishments, and subpoenas.
  • Provide administrative support and assistance with other special projects as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certificate in Legal Assistant/Paralegal studies preferred
  • Five or more years of applicable experience relating to contracts and/or litigation in a law firm or in-house corporate role
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in DocuSign, Dropbox, Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.)
