POSITION SUMMARY

To contribute to the achievement of Company objectives by managing assigned production areas toward:
  • Timely production of agreed volumes at the specified quantity
  • Maximum manufacturing efficiencies
  • Progression of process development
  • Compliance with Company safety and environmental policies
  • Lead safety, cGMP & ISO documentation, food safety and all GFSI initiatives across the site. Back up the Production Manager on any or all action item resolution for these initiatives. Comply and hold all personnel accountable for food safety procedures and initiatives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Recommend policy on manufacturing matters related to the production
    facilities under his/her control.
  • Ensure effective utilization of the production facilities and establishes
    optimum manufacturing/process conditions.
  • Ensure safe process and work conditions.
  • Prepare proposals for process development/optimization and cost
    reduction; and liaison with the Engineering Department to ensure effective
    implementation of approved projects,
  • Recommend production standards and on agreement, is responsible for
    achievement.
  • Is responsible to the Senior Production Manager for the selection and
    training of all production supervisors and operators under his/her
    management.
  • Submit standards for chemicals consumption and on approval, is
    responsible for maintaining within those standards.
  • Responsible for controlling physical yield and energy consumption within
    agreed standards.
  • Identifies sources of environmental problems and proposes solutions.
  • Ensures that an appropriate standard of housekeeping is maintained.
  • Contributes to the harmonious industrial and human relations environment
    through effective communication with the workforce under his control.
  • Take an active involvement in all Company quality or continuous improvement initiatives through regular root cause identification and participation on improvement teams. Encourage and facilitate the involvement of subordinates.

Desired Background
  • B. S. in Chemical Engineering or related
  • Minimum of two (2) years in an industrial manufacturing environment. Prior experience in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment highly preferred.
