GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sales Training and Development Manager works directly with the Lens Sales Team, local and global Leonardo team, and internal stakeholders to develop a training plan based on business priorities and strategies.They are responsible for the development, design, and delivery of training initiatives to achieve business objectives including training content for new hire onboarding, existing and new product and program training, sales skills training, and systems training. The primary skills required for success in this role are the ability to collaborate across business units to identify and assess learning needs, design training content in traditional and modern formats, and deliver or implement the training solution.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Executive presence: ability to collaborate with upper level leadership
  • Manage projects and evaluate results to report back to leadership
  • Collaborate and share important information for future training needs
  • Remain informed of all sales and Leonardo initiatives and training needs
  • Create solid cross-functional relationships to project manage and influence key initiatives
  • Demonstrate acute planning and follow up skills
  • Recommend solutions and enhancements
  • Identify and maintain processes and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness
  • Own the tracking of project status against key milestones and evaluate ability to achieve timeline, and provides monthly update on results tied to KPI's.
  • Build monthly training updates to be reviewed with Leonardo and Sales Leadership
  • Own the coordination and execution of approved strategies, ensuring appropriate initiative prioritization
  • Partner with local and global Leonardo team on the content launching monthly
  • Create and develop written content with SME - master decks, speaker notes
  • Streamline and simplify processes to elevate the learners' experience
  • Develop and maintain organizational communication channels to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
  • Communicate training project progress via monthly reports and team shared documents
  • Travel to assigned locations up to 20%
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Learning, Training or Communication
  • 5+ years of relevant industry and sales experience
  • 5+ years project management experience or equivalent
  • Experience leading people through influence
  • Strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain an enthusiastic attitude
  • Excellent skills in presenting, coordinating, and hosting in-person and virtual trainings
  • Cloud-based content development, collaboration, and distribution of presentation content
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Creating tools and resources to enhance selling skills
  • Recording, editing, and publishing videos for user interface demonstrations

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
